[Planning] One Page Pitch

Who’s in the group? - For this, I’ve decided to work alone but I’ve also managed to acquire the help of my younger sister.
Song choice and genre - My song choice is a song by The Rapture called “Pieces of the People We Love” which is seen as a dance-punk kind of song.
Location - I’ve decided to choose a location which seems quite “outland”ish as I think that could suit the song as well as the idea I have for the music video. So I’ve decided to use the trail as well as some of the woodland areas around where I live.
Equipment - The equipment I’ll need is a tripod, possibly the shoulder mount as well to help stabilize the tracking shots I’m wanting to do. A video camera will also be needed, as well as some lighting, though this does depend on how the natural lighting itself will fare.
Overall EffectI’ve decided for a narrative music video as well as quite a bit of special effects to give it that bit of edge and to make it look better, as well as to fit with my idea of the video being a bit mystical.

Company namePsycho Productions
RolesThe roles will be shared out between myself and Melissa. We will both be in control of the camera and directing what is happening on the screen. We will both assist each other for the makeup and such.

Overall package -
What are you good at?
I’m good with time management so we will be able to finish up filming a lot quicker. I

Early ideasThe ideas we have already consist of the following;- Making references to a videogame through the style of the music video- Costume and makeup has already been decided on
-
The narrative for the music video is that there’s two sisters, both seen as criminals and on the run/in hiding and using the wildlife and such as their means of hiding.- We’ve decided on locations and an opening scene already, maybe some mug shots that end up with one of the duo facing the right on the final mug shot and then it flashes out to show the character walking to the right as well.

Time needed6 – 8 weeks
Existing music video that’s similarI liked the style of “Titanium” by David Guetta ft. Sia. The story that the music video told as well as the effects used inspired me for this one. Plus the idea of there being no lip synching made me think more about whether I should use lip synching as well or not, or to simply make the lyrics correspond with what’s on the screen.
